PERSONALITY:

Mary is extremely loyal to her family and friends and she would do anything for them. She displays this loyalty by making a deal with the Yellow Eyed Demon when she was 19 when John had died. The Yellow Eyed Demon promised to return John to life if she allowed the Yellow Eyed Demon to feed his blood to her second-born son. Mary agreed and John was restored to life. Mary again displayed her desire to protect her family when the Yellow Eyed Demon showed up in Sam’s nursery one night. Instead of letting him feed Sam with his blood, Mary tried to fight the demon off but she died at the hands of the Yellow Eyed Demon.

Mary has natural maternal instincts. She loves to care for her friends and family and always tries to provide for them in whatever way she could provide. She is always her happiest when surrounded by her husband, John, and her two sons, Sam and Dean.

Mary is a natural protector. This could be because she was raised a hunter by her family even though she has no recollection of hunting or the supernatural as her memory was erased when she was around the age of 24 by the Archangel, Michael, after Anna Milton, an Angel of the Lord, tried to kill her in order to prevent her from having any children in an attempt to stop the apocalypse. Before her memory was erased, Mary possessed the normal characteristics of a hunter, i.e. being cautious and suspicious of any new person they meet, carrying weapons that would help defend herself against the supernatural, etc. After having her memory erased, Mary was like any normal, unsuspecting person. She was quick to trust and made fast friends of anyone she met.

ABILITIES: Mary is a good judge of character. She is loyal and protective of her family and has a strong maternal instinct.

WEAKNESSES: Mary’s weakness is her family. She is extremely loyal to her family and she would do anything to protect them.

CANON POINT: November 2, 1983 when she is murdered by the Yellow Eyed Demon.

WHY HAS YOUR CHARACTER CAUGHT THE EYE OF THE COLLECTOR?:

Mary has caught the Collector’s eye because he wants to complete the Winchester family. By collecting Mary, a woman that John has not seen since she died in 1983 and a mother that Sam doesn’t remember and Dean only has the faintest of memories of would certainly make the Winchesters unsettled and throw them off of their game a bit. The main reason why Mary has caught the Collector’s eye is that the Winchester family would have a chance to reunite and live a semblance of the life that was stolen from them when the Yellow Eyed Demon murdered Mary so many years ago.
